My initial foray into health and social care was fuelled by a genuine passion for helping others. Recognising the importance of formal qualifications, I pursued and obtained my registration with the Care Quality Commission, ensuring that I met the stringent standards required to provide high-quality care. Additionally, I completed a degree in health and social care, equipping myself with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this demanding field.
In 2008, I embarked on a journey into the realm of health and social care as a recruitment consultant, driven by a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. My dedication and commitment to this field quickly propelled me to success, and by 2010, I achieved the position of a Registered Manager for a prominent national home care provider. This milestone marked the beginning of a fulfilling career that would see me navigate various facets of the care industry.
Over the years, my career in the care industry has been extensive and diverse. I have managed various types of care services in East Sussex, including home care, extra care, live-in care, complex care, residential care, older people's care, learning difficulties, and palliative care. Each of these roles has provided me with invaluable experience and insights into the unique challenges and demands of different care settings
I have witnessed first-hand the stress and anxiety that families experience when faced with the reality that a loved one requires care. It is a natural response to want only the best care and treatment for those we hold dear. My role as a care advisor is to alleviate that stress, whether families are local or far away, by providing expert guidance and support.
I am dedicated to helping families navigate the complexities of the care system, offering personalised advice and support to ensure that their loved ones receive the highest standard of care. My extensive experience in various care settings has equipped me with the knowledge and expertise to provide families with the information and reassurance they need during challenging times.
